To strengthen its commitment to energy efficiency, Heirs Energies Ltd. and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) have reached a $750 million financing deal. Mr. Tony Elumelu, the chairman of Heirs Holdings, and Dr. George Elombi, the president and chairman of Afreximbank’s board of directors, signed the contract over the weekend in Abuja.Speaking during the function, Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, characterized the deal as an obvious example of African money serving African companies. He urged African business leaders to always work to maintain the trust of financial institutions that support their investments while praising Afreximbank for fostering the expansion of African companies, calling it the continent’s most influential and catalytic financial institution.
