Despite meeting the captors’ demands, they were later directed to retrieve his brother’s body from the forest, as he had died while being held captive. Osayi admitted the experience caused deep heartbreak but said his faith, drawn from his understanding of the Scripture, allowed him to remain composed and prevented him from shedding tears or entering into excessive grief. He clarified that his calm reaction was not due to a lack of attachment to his brother, but a deliberate choice to remain steady during trials. Apostle Osayi concluded that he intentionally maintained spiritual resilience, refusing to let the tragedy give the enemy an advantage, emphasizing that his dominant thoughts remain focused on faith and perseverance.
