According to governor Olayemi Cardoso, the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) foreign currency (FX) reforms brought in US$20.98 billion in foreign capital inflows during the first ten months of 2025. This indicates a 70 per cent increase over overall inflows for 2024 and a 428 per cent surge compared to the US$3.9 billion reported in 2023CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso says the spike in FX inflows represent a marked comeback in investor confidence in the economy and expects larger milestones in the months ahead. A sign of the stability of the banking system and growing investor confidence in the domestic economy is the continuous increase in foreign exchange inflows.
