Shade Okoya, a billionaire’s wife and well-known Nigerian industrialist, has expressed that she feels she hasn’t missed out on any aspect of life, even though she married someone older than herself.
states that, at the age of 21, she married Razak Okoya, a billionaire aged 85 at the time, in 1999.
Shade Okoya, in her recent interview with BBC Yoruba, responded to critics of her marriage by boasting that she has never missed out on anything by not marrying a younger man.
Speaking about her experience in the marriage, she affirmed that she is very happy in her marriage .
She said, “My husband has been very generous with me, and defends me anywhere. God said this is where I will be. We met each other, and he liked me and he did not waste time at all.
“I’m happy in my marriage to him. He is far older than me but I don’t think I ever missed out on anything because I didn’t marry a younger man.”
