The Senate Committee on Communications has completed the screening of nominees for the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), including Chairman-Designate, Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe.
During his screening, Mr. Olorunnimbe promised to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He plans to achieve this by creating a regulatory environment aimed at: deepening broadband penetration, strengthening digital inclusion, protecting consumers, and unlocking investment across Nigeria’s telecom and digital economy sectors.
Olorunnimbe, the founder and Group Chief Executive of The Temple Company, stated that he would bring his established expertise in strategic leadership, innovation, and institution-building to the position. He is a successful entrepreneur, lawyer, and public policy advocate with executive education from institutions such as Harvard Business School, Oxford University, University of Cambridge, and Henley.
