Following a pivotal 2-0 victory over Bayelsa United on the road, Enugu Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has advised his players to maintain complete focus as they continue their quest for the Nigeria Premier Football League crown, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
With the victory at Samson Siasia Stadium on Sunday, the Flying Antelopes solidified their lead in the standings. Godwin Obaje scored his 12th goal of the season late in the game, while Chidiebere Nwobodo opened the score after 30 minutes.
Ilechukwu acknowledged the significance of the outcome while reflecting on the performance, but he emphasized that his team needs to stay focused during the campaign’s pivotal phase.
“We had a successful game. Ilechukwu told ACL Sports, “I’m happy, but we must not lose concentration.”
Under Ilechukwu, Rangers are aiming for a second league championship in three seasons. The most recent outcome was their first away victory since January, which strengthens their position in the fight for the championship.
