Sam Sodje, a former Super Eagles defender, believes that Alex Iwobi’s tactical discipline—rather than just his natural talent—is what has made him a favorite of all the managers he has played for in England.
In an interview with Footy Africa, Sodje claimed that Iwobi’s willingness to play inside a system and adhere to instructions exactly was the distinguishing quality that had elevated him above what his natural talent alone may have accomplished.
Sodje remarked, “Iwobi has always been a layer that plays to a structure, and I think that’s why he has so many managers that really like him.” “His success is not solely due to his talent. I believe he became the player he is now because of his discipline in playing to a system.
