Today, November 28, the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta will host the first-ever West Africa Para-Games. In the next six days, about 500 Para athletes from 11 different sports will start competing for both personal and national pride, and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun is anticipated to proclaim the competition open.Mr. Kola Daniel, the National Sports Commission’s (NSC) Special Assistant on Media to the Director-General, claims that the Commission, in conjunction with the Nigerian Paralympic Committee and the Ogun State government, has put excellent procedures in place to ensure a smooth competition for all participating nations and athletes. He stated in the statement released yesterday that everything is ready for a really world-class competition that is intended to honor the shared spirit and heroism of the region’s unique athletes, including security, medical, lodging, transportation, and hospitality.
