In September, the oil and gas industry’s revenue and oil taxes decreased by N345.19 billion. The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) claimed to have collected N302.5 billion in taxes in the sector, according to records seen by Daily Trust and presented to the Federal Account Allocation Committee during its October sessions.According to the report, the performance is 53.06% lower than the August 2025 collection of N644.5 billion, a fall of N341.98 billion. It stated that the amount is N297.65 billion (49 percent shortfall) less than the 2025 monthly target of N600.16 billion.
