According to the DAILY POST, former Nigerian internationals Joy Jegede-Idakwo and Aighewi Omodiaghe have been named assistant coaches for the Flamingos.
Kola Ige, another Nigerian international, will instruct goalkeepers.
The Nigeria Football Federation, or NFF, confirmed the three’s appointment on Friday.
Jegede-Idakwo, Omodiaghe, and Ige will support Akeem Busari, the recently hired head coach.
Last week, Busari replaced Bankole Olowoookere, the team’s previous handler.
For Flamingos’ 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup second round qualifying match against Guinea or Niger Republic, he has already extended invitations to 36 players.
