Justice Chidiebere, also referred to as “Justice Crack,” has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The Federal High Court in Abuja heard the Federal Government’s case against Justice Crack on Monday.
Justice Crack was given N5 million in bail and one surety in the same amount by Federal High Court Judge Joyce Abdulmalik.
The Department of State Services, or DSS, is prosecuting him for alleged cybercrime offenses connected to a widely shared film about the Nigerian Army.
Due to disagreements between two attorneys who claimed to have been hired to represent Crack, the bail application hearing was postponed last Thursday.
But on Monday, when the Federal Government called Uruntu Douglas, a DSS agent, as its first witness in the prosecution against the blogger, Justice Abdulmalik granted Crack bail.
