The legendary Roy Keane of Manchester United has attacked Ruben Amorim’s team, stating that he doesn’t think the present players can lead the Red Devils back to contending for major championships. Keane doesn’t think Man United’s defensive and midfield players are capable of playing on a regular basis. The Irishman remarked during Man United’s 1-1 Premier League match with West Ham United on Thursday at Old Trafford. Keane stated on Sky Sports, “The attacking players have given United a bit of a boost this year; certainly, they are more of a goal threat.” However, I wouldn’t sit here and claim that these midfield and defensive players are capable of playing on a daily basis and performing well for Manchester United every single day.I wouldn’t put my trust in these players to restore Manchester United’s position as a major contender. After 14 games, Man United has 22 points, good for eighth place in the Premier League standings.
