Moshood Mustapha and his brother Bolakale Mustapha have been brought before Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for allegedly disturbing the peace, making false statements, and publishing an online video that would encourage the populace against the government.
They were arraigned Monday in front of Justice Muhammad Abdulgafar of the State High Court.
However, the governor claimed that the film may provoke public anger against him and the administration, so the two men entered not guilty pleas to the five charges brought against them.
Later, they were given five million naira bail, and the matter was postponed until July 18, 2025, when the trial would start.
Prior to a falling out with the governor, the second defendant reportedly belonged to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
