The manager of Barcelona, Hansi Flick, has denied that Real Madrid is better without Kylian Mbappe, claiming that the French attacker is the best in the world.
Los Blancos defeated Espanyol 2-0 while Mbappe, 27, is recuperating from a hamstring injury.
He returned to first-team training last week, but he was not well enough to participate in a La Liga game at Camp Nou against Flick’s club.
Flick was asked if Los Merengues are more cohesive without the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion.

Despite 45 million supporters supposedly signing a petition to have him quit the team, Mbappe has been outstanding this season.
He has made 41 appearances for Alvaro Arbeloa’s club in all competitions, scoring 41 goals and dishing out six assists.
In just 100 games so far, Mbappe has contributed an incredible 85 goals and 11 assists for the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu team.
