Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will choose the team’s next manager in the upcoming days, according to football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, in response to rumors that Jose Mourinho may return to the Los Blancos.
This coincides with mounting rumors that Mourinho would return to the Spanish capital.
In a Facebook post, Romano gave an update on the present state of affairs and said that Perez and Mourinho, who is still in the race, had a “absolutely excellent” connection.
Three other candidates are being examined to succeed current manager Alvaro Arbeloa, so the former manager of Chelsea and Manchester United is not the only name on the list.
Real Madrid is speeding up its search for a long-term replacement as Arbeloa is anticipated to depart at the end of the current campaign.
