Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, asserted that the team’s participation in the Club World Cup in 2025 “killed” them.
On Monday morning, Perez was addressing media.
He claimed that the competition prevented the players from having a full preseason and had an impact on them when the new season started.
Perez declared, “This season, the Club World Cup killed us.”
“After three months, we had 28 injuries because we didn’t have a preseason.
It’s an educational experience. I don’t want to waste an entire season in order to compete in the Club World Cup.
