When asked if Vinicius Junior is more dedicated than Kylian Mbappe following Real Madrid’s 2-0 La Liga victory against Espanyol on Sunday, manager Alvaro Arbeloa said.
At RCDE Stadium, Arbeloa watched as Real Madrid overcame Espanyol thanks to two goals from Vinicius.
Arbeloa was questioned if Vinicius is more dedicated than Mbappe during his post-match interview following the game.
“I don’t compare players,” the Spaniard said in response, as reported by MadridXtra. I’ve always stated that in order to win games, you need every player’s dedication.
“Seeing other teams sprint faster than us bothers me. To be a cohesive team, we need the dedication of every player.
Talent is insufficient on its own. Real Madrid is this. The players must get what Real Madrid is.
Mbappe, who is presently recuperating from a hamstring injury, did not participate in the Espanyol match.
