Fidelis Ilechukwu, the technical adviser for the Rangers, has cautioned his players to maintain complete concentration as they pursue a ninth Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) championship.
Following an outstanding 2-0 victory over Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday night, the Flying Antelopes held onto their top spot.
One minute after the half-hour mark, Rangers took the lead thanks to midfielder Chidiebere Nwobodo.
Five minutes from time, seasoned attacker Godwin Obaje scored the second goal to complete the victory.
Obaje scored his 12th goal in the league this year.
Ilechukwu stated that it is crucial for his players to be focused on the task at hand with two games left in the season.
“We had a successful game. I’m content, but we need to stay focused. Ilechukwu remarked, “It was a fantastic game.”
“We didn’t play well in the second half, so I’m not too thrilled about it, but our goalie and defenders did a good job.
