Lawyer raises alarm over rising attacks in Nasarawa, claims Fulani terrorists operating from the Kwara, Kadarko, and Doma axis

Ayiwulu Baba Ayiwulu, a lawyer specializing in human rights, has again expressed serious worries about increasing insecurity in Nasarawa State. He claims that sections of Kwara, Kadarko, and Doma are now serving as bases for Fulani terrorist groups who are responsible for ongoing assaults on local communities.
Following reports that three Migili young men from Duduguru were killed by suspected Fulani terrorists on the Kwara–Gidan Rai road, Ayiwulu issued a statement to reporters, calling the situation “a saddening and desperate reality.”
He stated, “It is another sad time as three Migili young people from Duduguru have been murdered by Fulani terrorists on the Kwara–Gidan Rai road.”
He added, “I have previously pointed out that my area, encompassing Kwara, Kadarko, and the portion of Doma linked to my electoral ward, has turned into a hub for Fulani terrorists in Nasarawa State, from which they launch attacks into both Nasarawa and Benue States.”
The lawyer grieved that the frequent attacks have made many communities dangerous, compelling inhabitants to abandon their homes.
He remarked, “We are now without help and may soon have no place left to call our village.”
He specified that communities such as Amurayi, Antsa, Doshima, Agbogio, and Gidan Mdza, which are all villages situated past the railway line at Kadarko, have been emptied.
He confirmed, “These locations, which belong to the Kwara electoral ward in Keana Local Government Area and a part of Doma, are now abandoned.”
He criticized authorities for ignoring the hardship of rural communities despite repeated murders, calling the government’s lack of response “unacceptable and discouraging.”
He complained, “People are being killed daily in this specific area, yet the government remains silent.”
He questioned, “Do we have security services in this state? Do we have a senator, representatives, and state house members? We are in great difficulty, truly.”
Residents in the impacted areas have also reported frequent shooting and raids during the night, requesting immediate deployment of the military.
At the time this report was finalized, state officials and security bodies had not released an official comment regarding these newest allegations.
