With the theme “Lagos, Let’s Beat Plastic Pollution,” the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) organized its 19th annual Walk for Nature in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources and Chevron Nigeria Limited. NCF’s main environmental campaign event was the Walk for Nature. It has been a focal point for communities, business partners, government organizations, and students to support a more sustainable, healthy, and clean environment for almost twenty years.”Plastic pollution is not just an environmental issue; it is a lifestyle challenge that affects our health, our cities, and our future,” stated Dr. Joseph Onoja, Director General of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation. We use the Walk for Nature as a means of encouraging everyone, particularly youth, to be accountable for their decisions. Lagos is getting closer to a sustainable future every time we opt to recycle or reject single-use plastics.
