Lesotho’s 1-0 victory over Zimbabwe puts them behind Nigeria in the SPORT2026 WCQ.

Lesotho defeated Zimbabwe 1-0 on Monday night to complete their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. The Crocodiles scored in the third minute of stoppage time to earn the most points as the game was about to end without a goal. Last week, Hlompho Kalake scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 loss to Nigeria. Lesotho will fall to fourth place as a result, but it will not be enough to qualify them for the 2026 World Cup. After 10 games, they have 12 points with a -3 goal differential. With 17 points, the Benin Republic leads the pack, followed by South Africa (15) and the Super Eagles (14). There is still one game left for all three.
