The Crocodiles scored in the third minute of stoppage time to earn the most points as the game was about to end without a goal. Last week, Hlompho Kalake scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 loss to Nigeria. Lesotho will fall to fourth place as a result, but it will not be enough to qualify them for the 2026 World Cup. After 10 games, they have 12 points with a -3 goal differential. With 17 points, the Benin Republic leads the pack, followed by South Africa (15) and the Super Eagles (14). There is still one game left for all three.
