The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced the names of the players who would represent the nation at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco on Thursday night, ending the wait for the final 28-man Super Eagles roster. For the continental showcase, the list includes both seasoned warriors and newcomers. The absence of Tolu Arokodare, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alhassan Yusuf, Sadiq Umar, Maduka Okoye, Boniface, and Nathan Tella opened the space for intriguing debutants, even though certain selections were anticipated. Two seasoned players, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Akor Adams, are among the new AFCON boys. Other debutants include defender Ryan Alebiosu, midfielders Usman Mohammed, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, and Tochukwu Nnadi, goalkeeper Amas Obasogie, defender Igoh Ogbu, and forward Salim Fago Lawal.
