Through strategic relationships with media professionals and stakeholders, the Ladies Professional Golfers Association of Nigeria (LPGAN) has reaffirmed its commitment to repositioning golf as a significant sport for women throughout the nation. During a two-day training course for sports journalists in Abuja, this dedication was emphasized. The program’s main objectives were to improve participants’ understanding of women’s tournament coverage, storytelling skills, and golf regulations.The goal of the training, according to a statement signed by C.U. Oparaugo, the association’s legal adviser, at the conclusion of the workshop, was to raise awareness of women’s golf and enable reporters to share the motivational tales of the players’ struggles, triumphs, and journeys. Speaking at the conclusion of the session, Lady Pro Uloma Ogbuokiri stated that the program was primarily intended for people who already had jobs and those who wanted to pursue a career in golf.
