Joshua Zirkzee has come under fire from former Manchester United striker Michael Owen following the Red Devils’ 1-0 Premier League loss to Everton on Monday. Owen claimed that following Everton’s victory over Man United at Old Trafford, he is unable to watch the Dutch striker with excitement. Remember how Idrissa Gueye was sent out for slapping teammate Michael Keane, reducing Everton to ten men in the first half? Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s lone goal of the game helped the visitors win.Owen wasn’t happy with Zirkzee’s performance against Everton, though. “I have to admit, I can’t watch him and get excited,” Owen said to Premier League Productions. “Cunha’s absence today was devastating. Zirkzee was the Man Utd player that came the closest to scoring, but because he is in there, they are practically playing like this with optimistic crosses.
