According to Vice President Kashim Shettima, the federal government would continue power sector reforms to guarantee that every Nigerian has access to energy. Speaking at the Niger Delta Power Holding Company’s (NDPHC) 20th anniversary celebration, Shettima recognized the company’s important contributions to the country’s development over the previous 20 years.The Vice President stated that the passing of the Electricity Act 2023 marks a significant turning point for both NDPHC and Nigeria’s power industry, emphasizing that the law gives the company more institutional stability, improved commercial credibility, and clearer legal authority to compete, collaborate, and expand in a more open and dynamic energy market.
