In order to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2026 African Union (AU) Summit, Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President), made this revelation in a statement on Thursday. The summit’s theme, “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063,” will center on strengthening continental commitments to better sanitation, sustainable water management, and more general development objectives as stated in the AU’s Agenda 2063 system.
