Adebayo Balogun, the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Electoral Matters, claims that the real-time element is the only distinction between the Senate and the House of Representatives’ versions of the electoral reform law. Balogun said this on Thursday’s “Morning Show” on Arise Television. “Neither the Senate nor the House supports IREV for collating election results,” he said. He stated that both houses of the National Assembly had approved electronic transmission and that the Form EC-8A will still be used at the collation center.
