Nigeria Immigration Service alerts the public to fraudulent job postings.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has issued an alert to Nigerians regarding a deceptive Facebook post that is falsely advertising an ongoing recruitment drive at the agency.
In an official statement released on its X account on Wednesday, the NIS clarified that it is not currently conducting any recruitment. The Service stressed that the only legitimate recruitment process was recently finalized by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Board (CDCFIB), and the results for that specific exercise are still awaiting release.
The public was strongly urged to disregard such fraudulent posts, refrain from engaging with them, and promptly report the pages involved. The NIS, which manages border control, visa issuance, and the enforcement of immigration laws in Nigeria, affirmed its dedication to transparently handling all genuine recruitment exercises, reiterating that any official recruitment announcement will only be made through its official communication channels.
