Nigerian gospel singer, Bolaji Olarewaju, popularly known as Big Bolaji, is dead.
His death was confirmed by his family in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, Big Bolaji passed on following a brief illness.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Bolaji Olarewaju, also known as “Big B,” a beloved father, husband, brother, and respected member of the church community, an ordained pastor in the RCCG, and a titan in the music industry and our community,” the statement said in part.
“After a brief illness, Bolaji departed from us on Easter Saturday, April 19, 2025.”
Details about his obsequies will be released when the time comes, the family stated.
Big Bolaji just celebrated being fifty years old.
He started his music ministry with the group J’apha and is also a radio talk show host.
