According to Babandi Shehu, a public affairs analyst from Northeast Nigeria, Senator Ali Ndume intends to represent the Borno South Senatorial District in the National Assembly for the fifth time in 2027.
In a statement on Sunday, he revealed this.
He claims that in advance of the May All Progressives Congress primaries, young people are already advocating for Ndume’s return.
He disclosed that young people from the Southern Borno senatorial district’s nine local government areas intend to obtain a ticket for Ndume’s nomination
“Ndume is not just a senator; he is a nationalist,” he declared.
“Nigeria needs senators like Ndume who fearlessly check the excesses of the executive and tell the truth to power, not caring whose ox is gored, at this point in its political history.”
Four-term senator Ndume has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ndume was one of the senators who initially voiced concerns about the nation’s tax laws, which go into effect in January 2027, according to the DAILY POST.
