Once more, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted rain and thunderstorms for the entire country from Monday through Wednesday.
According to NiMet’s weather outlook, Monday morning would bring isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains to the states of Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba, and Kebbi.
The forecast indicates that flash floods are likely in Adamawa, Taraba, and Gombe states, and that isolated thunderstorms with moderate rain are expected throughout the northern region in the afternoon and evening.
Monday morning is predicted to be cloudy with sunshine breaks in the central region. Over Niger, Kogi, Kwara, the Federal Capital Territory, and Benue, there will be moderate rainfall. Later in the day, thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are predicted over the majority of the central region.
The statement predicts cloudy skies over the southern region on Monday and moderate rains over most of the southern region later in the day. The states of Ekiti, Ondo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River are expected to experience moderate rains.
Tuesday’s forecast for the northern region calls for cloudy skies with brief periods of sunshine, with isolated thunderstorms and moderate rainfall predicted over Borno, Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi, Taraba, and Adamawa.
Later in the day, thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are predicted over the states of Taraba, Jigawa, Yobe, Katsina, Zamfara, Jigawa, and Kano.
It is stressed that thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated later in the day over Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Benue, and the FCT. Tuesday morning in the central region is predicted to be cloudy with periods of sunshine. Additionally, Kogi, Niger, the FCT, Kwara, and Nasarawa states are expected to experience moderate rainfall.
Cloudy skies with the possibility of moderate rain are predicted for Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi, and Delta states in the southern region on Tuesday morning as well. Later in the day, light to moderate rain is predicted for the majority of the region.
