NNL: Coach Umar says commitment is crucial for Kada Warriors’ relegation survival

Kada Warriors head coach, Danlami Kwasau Umar says his team’s commitment was key to their relegation survival in the Nigeria National League, NNL.

The Kaduna-based club survived relegation on the final day of the regular season with a 2-1 victory over Adamawa United.

Danlami Umar’s side finished in sixth position with 15 points from 12 matches in the NNL Group D table.

Umar guaranteed that the team would come together again and improve for the next season.

Umar informed the club’s media, “Ever since I became the coach at the club, my commitment and that of the players has been exemplary.”

“We were aware that we had to do whatever it took to survive, which we ultimately managed. The team is already beginning to take shape, although it remains a work in progress.

“Survival and playing for promotion are two different scenarios. In the latter case, we can restart and figure out how to achieve it next season.”
