Finidi George, the technical adviser for Rivers United, has urged his team to repeat their Federation Cup performance against Abia Warriors in their upcoming league match.
In Sunday’s State Federation Cup final, the Pride of Rivers defeated Willbros FC 3-0.
Next weekend, Rivers United and Abia Warriors will square off in a matchday 36 match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Finidi stated that he expects the match against the Umuahia-based team to be difficult.
Finidi told the club’s media, “It’s good to have a victory ahead of the important clash against Abia Warriors next weekend.”
“We hope to repeat the three goals we scored in the Federation Cup against Abia Warriors.”
“We need to put in a lot of effort because this match won’t be simple.”
