On October 25, the Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame (LBHF) will reopen with a revitalized format and new chances for amateur boxers in the state’s five divisions. The redesigned program would highlight the state’s five administrative divisions—Ikorodu, Lagos Mainland, Island, Badagry, and Epe—collectively referred to as IBILE, according to LBHF Director David Mohammed. We’re excited to return with our Monthly Show and are committed to making it even better,” he stated. He emphasized that the competition, which began in 2010, has provided a means of identifying and developing boxing potential. For more than 15 years, the Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame has been a reputable venue and a milestone for innumerable amateur boxers who have achieved success in the professional ranks. We’re dedicated to continuing our legacy, which we’re proud of,” he said. Mohammed clarified that under the new arrangement, each division will have a monthly show that will produce champions in a range of weight classes.
