Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o and Nigeria’s Austin Jay-Jay Okocha have been named two of the four best African football players of all time by Brazilian football legend Arthur Antunes Coimbra, also known as Zico. Zico said as much on Thursday when he appeared on The Obi One Podcast, which is hosted by former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel. “I like Okocha — a fantastic player,” Zico said to Obi Mikel and Chris McHardy in Rio de Janeiro when asked to select the greatest African football player to have ever played the game. Okocha, number 10. Eto’o, wonderful. Drogba and George WeahWeah, Drogba, Eto’o, and Okocha have all stepped away from playing professional football. Throughout their careers, the four players—who played for Chelsea, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, and Bolton Wanderers—were outstanding for both club and country.
