Ugur Karakullukçu, a Turkish football expert, disclosed particulars of the fraught interaction between Galatasaray and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis amid discussions about a possible transfer of striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen, aged 26, excelled during his loan spell at Galatasaray, having joined them from Napoli last year.
Galatasaray’s discussions with Napoli regarding a permanent transfer of Osimhen have not yet come to fruition.
Karakullukçu offered a sensational description of what purportedly occurred during discussions between the two clubs while addressing the development.
“During the discussions regarding Osimhen, Galatasaray’s management was in Italy. It was at this time that Napoli’s president [Aurelio De Laurentiis] told a go-between on his boat, “Tell these guys I am not selling to Galatasaray. “They should get lost,” Karakullukçu stated (via habersarikirmizi).
“He isn’t really saying, ‘Get lost’; he’s conveying something of greater significance. I am expressing it in a polite way. This is true in the most literal sense.
