The Confederation of African Football (CAF) stated yesterday via its official X Twitter that Victor Osimhen, a striker for the Super Eagles and Galatasaray, has once again been acknowledged as one of Africa’s best players after being nominated for the 2025 African Player of the Year Award. The Nigerian forward is the standout of a list that also includes Frank Anguissa (Cameroon & Napoli), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea & Borussia Dortmund), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco & Paris Saint-Germain), and Mohamed Salah (Egypt & Liverpool).
