Chelsea Football Club and a number of other foreign teams have shown interest in recruiting three players from the Kwara Football Academy, according to Coach Bolakale Mogaji, Executive Chairman of the Kwara Sports Commission. Mogaji made this revelation on Wednesday in Ilorin at the Kwara Ministry of Communications’ Third Quarter Inter-Ministerial News Briefing.The chairman claims that the players are Ifeanyi Ikechwukwu for Lueven in Belgium, Uthman Tajudeen for Brentford in London, and Abduljelil Kamaldeen for Chelsea in England. He stated that it was anticipated that the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) would increase as a result of the proposed contracts with the foreign clubs. Mogaji clarified that preparations were in full swing, with scouts from the teams that selected their top prospects presently undertaking a thorough assessment. The sports administration also emphasized the historic victory of Kwara United Football Club, which finally won the coveted President Federation Cup this year.
