Chibuzor Ozurumba, a former attacker for Enyimba, has stated his belief that Rivers United will advance from their CAF Champions League group. Rivers United, Pyramids FC of Egypt, RS Berkane of Morocco, and Power Dynamos of Zambia are all in Group A. Pyramids FC is the reigning champion. Ozurumba thought the Pride of Rivers had the proper attitude and character to be accepted into the club. He called Rivers United’s qualifying for the group stage a historic accomplishment for the team. Ozurumba told Sports247, “It’s a very strong group, and I credit Rivers United for its ability to make it into the group stage — that’s history on its own.”The fact that Rivers United made it thus far indicates that they are a formidable squad, but the following round will be more difficult because their opponents are good teams. They must pose a threat to their opponents. “I think Rivers United will make it out of that group, but they must continue to put in a lot of effort.” The outcomes will be evident if they do. They have what it takes, in my opinion.
