The Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State has condemned Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa following reports that his convoy struck and killed a young man named Good Emiju during a recent tour of Oka-Akoko. Through its spokesperson, Wande Ajayi, the opposition party criticized the Governor’s silence and the rapid burial of the deceased, calling the government’s lack of transparency insensitive and disrespectful. The PDP alleged that the victim was initially taken to a local hospital that was too poorly equipped to treat him before he died at a federal medical center. In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa has denied any involvement, with his communications aide, Allen Sowore, stating officially that the gubernatorial motorcade was not responsible for any accidents during the tour.
