Bruno Fernandes would be a top-three candidate for the Ballon d’Or if he played for Manchester City rather than the Red Devils, according to former Manchester United player Paul Pogba.
Even though Fernandes and Pogba share a locker room at Old Trafford, Pogba feels that United’s lack of success has eclipsed his old teammate’s individual talent.
City has won four consecutive Premier League titles since Fernandes joined in 2020.
“Do you honestly think Bruno Fernandes could do more than he already does at United?” Pogba contended in an interview with the Rio Meets podcast.
“In my opinion, you put him in City, and his stats this season put him in the top three for the Ballon d’Or, but we don’t consider it when you don’t win.” Life is like that. That’s football.
