On Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain cruised past Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami with a score of 4-0, securing their spot in the Club World Cup quarterfinals.
The Argentine superstar’s magic was hoped to help Miami achieve an improbable outcome against his old team, but the Major League Soccer side was torn apart in Atlanta by Luis Enrique’s unstoppable European champions.
PSG’s Joao Neves scored two goals, and they also gained from an own goal by Tomas Aviles. Additionally, Achraf Hakimi scored.
After Neves scored the first goal of the match early on, Miami held out until PSG netted three goals in a span of 10 minutes near the end of the first half.
