Runsewe praises teenage golfers as Nigeria excels at the ISF golf tournament

Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the President of the Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF), has commended the exceptional performance of young Nigerian golfers after the country’s landmark debut at the inaugural ISF World School Golf Championship in Rabat, Morocco.

The event lasting a week from July 14 to 21 united young golfing talents from around the world, providing a unique combination of high-level competition and cultural exchangeIn the Under-15 boys’ category, Nigeria was represented by two promising talents: Master Oluwashetemi Oyero from Ikeja Golf Club and Master Oluwamayomile Adesan Orungbeja from Ikoyi Club 1938. The team was under the leadership of Mr. Olajide Bolaji, the NGF’s Technical Director. Otunba Runsewe praised the young duo for their courage, talent, and model sportsmanship, deeming their involvement “a remarkable milestone and the start of greater things to come for golf in Nigeria.
