Sarri praises the physicality of Dele-Bashiru

Following his debut in the second half of Lazio’s thrilling 3-3 Serie A match with Udinese, Maurizio Sarri has praised Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s physical presence, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

In a fiercely contested match at the Stadio Olimpico, the Nigerian midfielder was brought on after halftime as Lazio sought more control. His 45-minute cameo gave the hosts’ midfield a more muscular edge.

But Sarri also pointed out that Dele-Bashiru’s missed opportunity, which occurred when Lazio was leading 2-1 and in a solid position to take control of the match, was a pivotal moment in the six-goal thriller.

The Italian coach acknowledged that his team battled in the first half and lacked focus and poise, but he gave credit to a better performance in the second half that came close to winning before the momentum changed.

In remarks cited by Fanta Calcio, he stated, “We entered the game after 30 minutes as a team with a lot of nerves.”
