The famous Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, passed away following a long illness.
Family sources confirmed the death of the respected cleric on Wednesday.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was recognized as one of the most influential Islamic scholars in the nation.
His funeral will take place tomorrow, Friday, in Bauchi, led by Sheikh Sharif Ibrahim Saleh.
The renowned scholar was born on June 29, 1927, was 98 years old, and was widely known for having over 80 children.
