Jurgen Klopp, the former manager of Liverpool, has stated that he passed up the opportunity to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. Speaking on Steve Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast on Monday, Klopp made this revelation. After nine years at Anfield, the German left in the summer of 2024. However, in 2013, when he was still at Borussia Dortmund, United made an approach. “United made an attempt to reach out to me.” Klopp remarked, “It was the wrong moment at the wrong time.” “I wouldn’t have left Dortmund for anyone because I had a contract there.
