In a statement released in Lagos on Thursday, Atoyebi stated that if the nation wants to turn around its dwindling sports fortunes, professional knowledge—rather than political appointments—is crucial.Atoyebi, who recently received a sports role model award in Denmark, said she expressed her opinions during the inaugural Big Sports Dialogue 0.1, which was recently held in Lagos. According to her, the event brought together media professionals, industry stakeholders, and sports administrators to analyze the issues impacting the country’s athletic success.
