After yet another thrilling football weekend, the Opta SuperComputer has predicted the Premier League winners. At Sunderland, Arsenal, who appeared to be winning the championship handily, were held to a 2-2 tie. Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Liverpool the next day reduced the distance between them and the Gunners to four points. With 18 points, the Reds are now in seventh position. Despite the setback at the Stadium of Light, Opta thinks Arsenal will still win the championship and has given them a 65.49% chance. The Gunners are expected to score 80 points, which would be the fourth-lowest total in league history. According to Opta’s estimates, Liverpool is now ranked third.
