The Borno State Government has canceled the presentation of its 2026 budget proposal, which was originally planned for Monday, December 15, to the State House of Assembly. This delay was made public in a release by Professor Usman Tar, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security. The statement informed the public that Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum’s scheduled presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Borno State House of Assembly has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The government indicated that the new date for presenting the 2026 appropriation bill will be announced later.
