The deadline for civil service hiring has been extended by FG to March 17.

The Federal Civil Service application deadline has been extended by the Federal Government to March 17, 2025.

On January 27, 2025, the Federal Civil Service Commission first made the recruitment announcement, offering more than 70 positions in a variety of ministries, departments, and organizations.

However, a lot of people complained about having trouble using the recruitment platform, which led to a lot of people calling for an extension.

While acknowledging that some applicants faced technical difficulties, FCSC spokesperson Hassan Taiwo insisted that others were able to successfully register.

The commission said the new deadline replaces the old one, which was originally set for March 10, 2025, in an ad posted by Taiwo on Monday and printed in two national publications.

“To allow more eligible candidates to participate in the exercise, the Federal Civil Service Commission has extended the closing date for receiving applications for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service to Monday, March 17, 2025.”

The prior notice, which was published in a few national dailies on Monday, January 27, 2025, and on the FCSC website (www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng), where the deadline was originally set for Monday, March 10, 2025, has been replaced by this announcement.

The FCSC website, as well as the newspapers The Sun and The Nation, published on Monday, March 10, 2025, including the Daily Trust on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, now feature the most recent information.

“Qualified Nigerians are urged to take advantage of this extension and apply for the available vacancies. “The Commission assures applicants of a merit-driven and transparent recruitment process,” it concluded.
